What kind of accent does Jake have in "Prince of Persia"?

Saw this trailer last night and the it looks like a good summer flick but I was left scratching my head about what kind of accent Jake Gyllenhaal had. Any ideas?

    Sounds like some kind of affected English, like Madonna ;-). But this preview looks really exciting, I just may have to see this in the theater.
