Manhunt Contextual Ad Fail?

Apparently Manhunt has been buying more ads on mainstream websites or ad networks. Here’s a shot from fleshbot, which also found an ad on the Mirror website. I just find it funny that an article about a guy beating up his coworker for making fun of his small junk.
I’m not sure if these ads are all served off the same ad network, but if they are, it makes sense how a gay web surfer would see these gay ads on non-gay themed sites. Basically there are advertising cookies, so an advertiser can track which ads you’ve seen, which ones you’ve clicked on, what sites you’ve seen them on, and there for know what kind of consumer you are and sevre you ads custom tailored for you.
You should be able to opt-out of interest based ads served from third party ad servers. Like google’s opt out can be set here. So if you’re hoping that seeing these ads these mainstream sites may get some new hot curious guys on manhunt, you may be left sadly waiting, since the same tired old queens will probably the only ones seeing these ads on si.com
