Gay Rugby great Ian Roberts slams homophobic tweet

Rugby league great Ian Roberts has slammed Olympic swimmer Stephanie Rice as a “complete idiot” after the sporting pin-up girl posted an anti-gay comment on her Twitter page.

DeadSpin points out :

Remarking after the Wallabies’ two-point win over the Springboks in South Africa on Saturday night, Rice – who has left the Commonwealth Games team due to injury – tweeted: “Suck on that f—gots,” adding: “Probably the best game I’ve ever seen!! Well done boys.”

Rice later deleted that tweet and has apologized for using that slur.

I wonder if she tweeted from a phone with a keyboard or touch screen and if the “f” word was auto suggested… meaning she’s typed it before…

Gavin Henson gets dirty for Fabulous

Rugby player, Gavin Henson, recently split from his wife, singer Charlotte Church. I remember when they started dating and Gavin started appearing in the blogs I was like, “Gay face and she’s a beard!”. Because I felt he was prettier than her. Anyway 5 years and two kids later, you have Gavin giving an interview to Fabulous discussing his relationship and his love of his kids. More pics and a behind the scenes video of the photo shoot here.

Rugby League - Bradford Bulls v Crusaders Rugby League engage Super League
As the Mirror put it, “Gareth Thomas is back with a bang”. I don’t know the rules of rugby, but seems like it was an impressive win, 19-0. Unfortunately, he was subject to homophobic heckling from some spectators.
